It's hard to believe, but in May Vinylrausch, the pop-up museum for vinyl albums, will take place for the 75th time - as always at Sputnik Kino!
On Thursday, 15.05. at 19:30, Vinylrausch will turn back time 55 years and be present at the birth of hard rock on the first side of Deep Purple In Rock (1970), when the Speed King is enthroned and Child In Time reveals the psychedelic roots of his reign.
One of the first German hard rock bands was Birth Control, founded in Berlin in the early seventies. On their third album Hoodoo Man (1972) with the merciless hit Gamma Ray, they are in no way inferior to the riff-based and relentlessly forward-driving rock of Deep Purple.
The album will be presented to us by the band's current guitarist, Martin 'Ludi' Ettrich himself! Ludi will have his electric guitar with him and will certainly be able to tell some entertaining stories from the life of a prog rocker.
From his own band The Almost Three, Ettrich will bring along the album Just Music (2020), on which he plays a very refreshing funk rock.
