In the remote Liangshan Mountains of China, 14-year-old Qihuo sets off with her friends in search of a traditional skirt that will mark her transition into adulthood. The seemingly simple journey turns into a poetic coming-of-age story about friendship, cultural expectations and the tension between childhood and adulthood. In a reality characterized by poverty, where many have to take on responsibility too early, Qihuo tries to delay this step and hold on to the freedom of her youth for a moment longer.
