Libianca

The Cameroonian-American singer Libianca recently celebrated her international breakthrough hit "People" and is finally bringing her music live to Berlin in June!

She was enchanted by the world of music from a young age, especially when her babysitter sang covers of well-known songs to her and others in the house. The music played in Libianca's childhood included: gospel, R&B, Afrobeats and Makossa - a Cameroonian genre that is a mix of rumba, funk, highlife and many other eclectic sounds. She grew up in church and sang with the congregation. In addition to church, Libianca also attended school performances to practice singing in public. After ten years of development and training to hone her talent, Libianca has become a true artist.

In the early stages of her career, Libianca began participating in open mics and expanding her reach as a professional musician by continuing to perform. Through connecting with audiences and spending time with her fans, Libianca has built a strong fan base over the past few years. The 22-year-old singer and her enchanting voice took part in a season of The Voice in 2021, where she was coached by Blake Shelton to further her career. During her performances, she wowed the judges and fans with her moving and captivating style. Libianca is known for thinking outside the box, being unconventional and spicing things up with her covers. Artists such as Wizkid, Davido, Charlotte Dipanda and Keyshia Cole are great inspirations for Libianca and have shaped her musically over the years.

She sings in pidgin, English and French, effortlessly conveying vulnerability, empathy and emotion through sweet melodies. Her mission is to "heal the world" and "allow people to accept themselves". In her songs, she addresses various struggles and experiences, especially mental health issues. Many of her fans feel recognized and engage with Libianca on social media, talking about her positive impact on their well-being and how her music acts as a kind of therapy for them.
