The Europe-wide successful light show "Genesis" is now also coming to Frankfurt. From October 10 to November 26, 2024, the Dreikönigskirche will be showing the audiovisual art spectacle by the Swiss artist collective Projektil, which tells the story of creation. On November 14, the visually stunning event will also be accompanied by live music.
With "Genesis" by EONARIUM, Projektil is now a guest at the Dreikönigskirche in Frankfurt. High-performance projectors transform the neo-Gothic church on the banks of the River Main into a breathtaking backdrop. The audience experiences the biblical story of the creation of the earth as a state-of-the-art light projection inside the historic walls. Whether sitting in the pews or stretched out on beanbags: The audience is surrounded on all sides by video art and sounds, can immerse themselves in the work and let themselves drift.
The creation of the sun, the moon and the stars as well as the awakening of life through to the appearance of man come to life in a visual explosion of colors and shapes.
"Genesis offers an experience that blurs the boundaries between art and technology and creates a profound emotional resonance," explains Roman Beranek, Creative Director and founder of Projektil.
A highlight of the performance is the depiction of the origin of mankind, embedded in stunning scenery of color and movement that captures the wonder and diversity of life in an impressive way. "In the creative process, it was important to us to make the origin story non-denominational so that all viewers can develop their own relationship to the images," explains project manager Dembah Fofanah.
The light show is accompanied by musical arrangements ranging from classical to electro. These include compositions by Jacques Offenbach, John Wasson and the Swiss duo Adriatique. Several hundred thousand people in a total of 23 cities in Switzerland, Germany, France, Italy and the United Kingdom have already attended the EONARIUM shows.
On November 14, the show will also be accompanied by live music: Two concerts are planned (7:15 pm and 8:45 pm) with accordion and violin, which will be realized together with More Than Classic.
