Lichtspiele des Westens

The nights are getting longer and it's time to bring light into the darkness again! On Saturday, December 9, 2023, we will light up Plagwitz-Lindenau again. Show off your creativity and stage your windows for the Lichtspiele des Westens!

From radiant LED installations to colorful projections - every light brings magic to the night. Our jury will award prizes for the most beautiful installations at the end of the evening. Want to make sure the jury doesn't miss your window? Then send us a photo including the location of your window to boulevard.heine@schaubuehne.com by 7 p.m. on the day of the event at the latest.

Special highlights: Once again this year, you can look forward to a light walk through the illuminated streets of Plagwitz-Lindenau, to which the Snow Queen personally invites you. Would you like to contribute a light element but don't have a suitable one to hand? In the open workshop of Buchkinder e.V. you can make lanterns and lamps all evening long. You can also be inspired by multimedia works by local and international artists and inspired by dance and theater performances. And of course there will also be our popular cat search game again. You can design your own cat in a workshop on December 2 at 3 pm.
