In the organizer's words:
In the Port of Bremen in the 1950s—at a time when men were still allowed to be real men. Right in the thick of it is Theodor, back on land after a long voyage at sea.
Amid stevedores and harbor girls, he meets Labskaus-Gerda and Korn-Hannes. Torn between his worldview and the docks, sailors and matjes herring, he begins his search for his eternal, great love.
