LINEAGES IV – Paris–London | Spielende Insel - Ein Kammermusikprojekt
In the organizer's words:
LINEAGES III & IV – Spielende Insel at Kühlhaus Berlin
On September 19 and 20, Spielende Insel presents two evenings of chamber music at Kühlhaus Berlin with LINEAGES III & IV. Internationally acclaimed musicians come together in varying ensembles; music, visual art, and the unique architecture of the Kühlhaus are woven into a shared artistic experience.
With LINEAGES IV – Paris–London, the series branches out in new directions. French timbres from Saint-Saëns and Debussy meet the late-Romantic expressive world of Edward Elgar, bringing two distinct musical worlds from around 1900 into dialogue with one another.
The concert also marks a transition to new musical lines and perspectives. Music, visual art, and the unique architecture of the Kühlhaus Berlin become part of a shared artistic experience.
