Linolschnitt: Oberfläche und Spur

In the organizer's words:

Lines, shapes and rhythms are cut into the surface of the linoleum as interventions in a closed material.

Instead of color, the focus is on the pure surface. The paper is only changed by pressing and contact. It takes on the structure of the cut linoleum without an additional layer or image. The result is a silent transfer from surface to surface, a trace of pressure, resistance and touch. Not only motifs become visible, but also reliefs, densifications and subtle shifts in the material. The end result is a series of paper works that are less images than impressions of touch - reduced traces of a process between cutting and pressing.
