It is the most successful touring show in the history of the entertainment industry and enjoys an excellent international reputation: since its premiere, "Lord of the Dance" has visited more than 1,000 venues around the world and thrilled more than 60 million people in 60 countries on all continents. The breathtaking, captivating, magical show quickly became one of the most successful dance productions in the world. In 2022, almost 100,000 spectators attended the big anniversary tour of "Lord of the Dance". In 2024, "Lord of the Dance" returns to the major stages in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

The adventurous journey to Lord of the Dance began with Michael Flatley's dream of creating the biggest Irish dance show in the world. With great determination, courage, an unconditional belief in himself, ambition, hard work and, of course, incredible talent, the exceptional American dancer with Irish roots achieved something that took the world's breath away: with his spectacular intermission performance at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1994, he caused a standing ovation with an overwhelming performance that even overshadowed the actual event. The rest is history and impressive proof of Flatley's conviction that "nothing is impossible. Follow your dreams."

The extent of the phenomenal success of "Lord of the Dance" is still immense and unbroken today - almost 30 years later: Michael Flatley instantly hit an international audience of millions around the globe right in the heart, received countless awards, broke theater records worldwide and helped the art of traditional Irish dance to world fame and unprecedented global recognition. The unique combination of energetic dance at the highest artistic level, amazing aerial acrobatics, original Celtic music, clever yet entertaining storytelling and subtle sensuality has captivated audiences around the world. An audience that is equally fascinated regardless of age, gender or cultural background. With its timeless, universal appeal, "Lord of the Dance" has become a modern wonder of the world and embodies the myth of a living legend.

In spring 2024, the famous "clack" will finally be heard on stage again. With some sensational innovations and original developments, Michael Flatley will not simply revive the original concept of "Lord of the Dance", but rather translate it into the present day and thus enchant entirely new generations of fans. Described by the Los Angeles Times as a "showpiece extravaganza", the show will transport audiences to a time and place of myth and fantasy with more than 150,000 taps per performance and literally take audiences by storm with an explosive mix of rousing performances, an artfully staged light show and spectacular pyrotechnics. Fans can look forward to a fantastic journey with sophisticated costumes and sensational choreography as well as state-of-the-art technology, lighting effects and numerous surprises: 40 of the world's most outstanding young dancers will present a show that combines the best of tradition, entertainment, music and dance under the direction of Michael Flatley and with new music by composer Gerard Fahy.
