Lords Of Lounge

Lords of Lounge were formed in 2020 during a hopeless - but absolutely necessary - hotel lobby background music gig, somewhere between Corona-Lockdown No. 1 and No. 2. It was the first time these four musicians played together in this exact line-up.

Awakened by their own sound, which they created there by chance, it quickly became clear: forming a band was not an option - it was a necessity. Composing, rehearsing and immediately recording together became the only logical consequence.

The four Berlin-based musicians formed Lords of Lounge to combine surf-inspired, easy-listening lounge classics with improvisational freedom. Their way of working is radically simple: everything is recorded while composing - no demos, no overdubs. Pure vibes, pure inspiration, straight to tape.

They write, rehearse and record in a very specific time slot between 10 am and 3 pm - when the drummer's rehearsal room is free and before the guitarist has to pick up his children from school.

Restriction as a concept. Lounge as an attitude.
