If Los Bitchos' electrifying debut album Let the Festivities Begin! from 2022 was the restless preparation for the big night, then Talkie Talkie is the Technicolor explosion on the dancefloor. Comprising lead guitarist Serra, who has both Australian and Turkish roots, Uruguayan synthesizer and keytar player Agustina Ruiz, Swedish bassist Josefine Jonsson and British drummer Nic Crawshaw, the group is dedicated to having fun. They've easily spread this infectious energy to the world: since the band officially launched in 2019 with two sold-out 7" singles, they've established themselves as one of the best London bands to watch. Since then, they've found a home on their beloved indie label City Slang, performed on the world's most coveted stages (such as Glastonbury and Coachella, as well as supporting Pavement and King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard) and exuded the verve of their personalities and cultures with their exploratory brand of rock'n'roll. The London quartet's new album shines with charisma, sonic experimentation and mischievous spirit. Talkie Talkie, named after the fictional club of the same name, is a late night paradise of freedom and possibility; a place where partygoers can escape reality by dancing or daydream to the invigorating soundscapes.
