A 'grande dame' of vocal jazz

Sandy Patton is a grande dame of jazz singing. She was born in Inkster (Michigan/USA) in 1949. Her professional career began while she was still a student at Howard University. The musicians with whom Sandy Patton has already performed on stage reads like an excerpt from the "Who's Who" of jazz. She has worked with Dizzy Gillespie, Paquito de Riveira, Cab Callaway, Benny Bailey, Al Grey, Ray Brown, Cedar Walton... Mrs. Patton also toured the world for three years with the legendary Lionel Hampton. Sandy Patton captivates with her expressive voice and her 'scat singing' with virtuoso improvisations. From 1995 to 2013 she was a professor of jazz singing at the Swiss Jazz School and the Bern University of the Arts.
