Pushing your own limits and breaking new ground in the process. Wanting to change while remaining the same person. Such paradoxes of life and dance are the subject of DANSES VAGABONDES, the new solo by the captivating Canadian artist Louise Lecavalier. Together with Edouard Lock, she formed the company La La La Human Steps in the early 80s, fronting such groundbreaking, globally touring pieces as BUSINESSMAN IN THE PROCESS OF BECOMING AN ANGEL and HUMAN SEX. She has been touring solo as a choreographer and dancer since the late 90s - with unbroken success. And even today, at the age of 65, her performances have lost nothing of their presence, power and curiosity. "The craziest thing is that I always start with one step, the same first step," says Lecavalier about her work. "But the world it reveals is never the same".
