Luzmira Zerpa
Concert

As a singer-songwriter and healer, Luzmira was taught by her father, a metaphysical and spiritual teacher. As a solo artist, she has received much acclaim for her captivating performances, which draw on extensive knowledge from syncretic traditions such as Tamunangue. Luzmira's training has included instruction in energy healing with Mexican curanderas (healers). She specializes in leading traditional ceremonies that combine her love of music with her therapeutic skills. With her impressive voice and her cuatro (a four-string guitar), she navigates - together with her 15-year-old son - the rhythms of the Joropo, Pasaje and Golpe Larense in a soundscape inspired by the goddess of nature, Maria Lionza.

Systema Solar

Systema Solar is a collective of independent musicians and visual artists dedicated to the vibrant soundscape of Afro-Caribbean rhythms. Their mission is to create unique audiovisual experiences - a concept they call 'berbenautika', mixing elements from the verbenas (street parties) in Barranquilla with their own styles.

Inspired by the picó sound system culture, the members of the group come together to explore and reinterpret different musical genres through spontaneous improvisation. They mix traditional Colombian and Caribbean rhythms such as cumbia, bullerengue, porro and champeta with influences from contemporary rhythms and cultural styles such as hip hop, house, techno, breakbeat, breakdance, turntablism and live video performances, creating an auditory and visual approach that defies conventional genre boundaries.

El Orgullo de Berlin [Berlin's pride and joy] is a crew that, inspired by Colombian picó sound system culture, organizes the first and only picó night in Berlin. Their events have been taking place at various locations in Berlin since 2017, all with their own atmosphere and unique PA system. Originating in working-class neighborhoods in Colombia, picós are robust sound systems that have immense social and community significance. Each Picó is unique, with its own name and character, its own look and sound. An unforgettable experience with passionate record collectors, music curators and producers Arn4l2, Edna Martinez, DJ Nomad and live percussion by King Owusu aka Eric Owusu.
