Maaßkultur mit CHRISTOPH EVERKE & Band

In the organizer's words:

EDEKA Maaß Oberneuland , together with Emotional.Zone, Oberneuland Magazin, Rausgegangen.de and Cafe-Schwarz.TV, has beenpresenting Maaßkultur every Wednesday from May to October since 2023. From 17:30 to 20:30, whereby... the end of the concert is largely determined by the audience (i.e. you)!

CHRISTOPH EVERKE & BAND

Christoph Everke combines rock, country, folk and blues elements with German lyrics and it works, not least because he scrutinizes, breaks down, reflects, twists and turns the emotions and nuances of human existence in order to write his songs.

Born in Paris in 1971, his first musical experiences were influenced by his parents' chanson records, which laid the foundations for his singer-songwriter roots.

After 10 years of cello lessons, his first attempts at campfire guitar playing led him to the stage and band.

At some point, a band rehearsal followed by a graffiti train led to a night at the police station and graffiti turned into design and advertising until the moment Johnny Cash released his "Hurt" cover. Inspired by this, Christoph first went into himself and then into the studio.

Together with Oscar Meixner, album number 6 has now been created.
With "Taumeln", Christoph takes a much more political approach to his very personal questions and observations and deals with us and the society we want to be.

Christoph has now been on the road for over 30 years together with Andreas Vlasic (guitar), Oscar Meixner (bass) and Thiemo Hehl (drums).

Free admission to Maaßkultur, we collect with the hat. Just come along and enjoy good music and good conversation with acquaintances, friends and strangers, or maybe even a little dance!!!?

Don't worry about Bremen's shietwetter, if it rains too much we'll simply move to our favorite café. The Lieblingscafé will also offer a special snack menu on the evenings of MAASSKULTUR, so you can enjoy your evening meal on site.
Enjoy a few hours of music in a relaxed atmosphere on our (hopefully always summery) square with musicians and bands from a wide variety of genres. And if you like it - musicians love spotlights - then you are welcome to leave something for the musicians and bands...
