The home game! Hanover's largest regular live literary event "Macht Worte!" is a feast for all lovers of wordplay, poetry and ABC alarms. When performance poets, storytellers, lyricists and literary freestylers from all over Germany vie for the audience's favor, expressiveness and creativity are key. The great thing: "Macht Worte!" takes place every month! As diverse and open to all as usual in the Faust, every third month as "The Finest" in the Brauhaus Club and four times a year with the best German-language slammers in the Staatsoper.

Poetry slams are booming and in vogue. Up and down the country, the "battle of words" is on everyone's lips and has arrived at the heart of high culture. The Hanoverian scene has blossomed into one of the leading and most active in the German-speaking world. At Hanover's oldest and largest poetry slam, poets from all over the country compete for the favor and hearts of the audience with their eloquent, profound and punchy texts. It's all about the Hanoverian poetry crown and a place in the three-monthly "The Finest" slam at the Brauhaus Club. The live authors have seven minutes to take their literary chance on stage. The evening will be hosted by Henning Chadde and Jörg Smotlacha.
