Under the motto "Art and culture in the Macke Quarter", the Macke Quarter Festival takes place every year in Nordstadt! Art and cultural institutions around the Macke House and Bornheimer Strasse take part with exhibitions, guided tours, lectures and workshops and celebrate the artistic past, present and future of the district.
August Macke's life and work are closely linked to the district around Bornheimer Strasse.
