As part of the celebrations for 70 years of CERN, this impressive documentary takes us into the accelerator tunnels of DESY in Hamburg and CERN in Geneva. While some researchers are on the hunt for unknown particles, other scientists are using accelerator technologies to better understand viruses or even to illuminate pyramids!
Special Guest: Before the movie starts, Beate Heinemann, Director of Particle Physics at DESY, will give a short lecture on the universe of the smallest particles.
Afterwards: Look forward to an exciting discussion with the film director Ekki Wetzel and the protagonist Christian Schwanenberger - senior scientist at DESY and professor at the University of Hamburg.
