May festival at Siersberg Castle: culinary delights and live music from Eddie Gimler

On Friday, May 1, 2026, the municipality of Rehlingen-Siersburg and SG Kultur invite you to a special highlight: the traditional May Festival at the historic Siersberg Castle.
From 10:00 a.m., visitors can expect a day full of enjoyment, conviviality and top-class music in one of the most beautiful settings in Saarland. The physical well-being is well catered for. The "Flammerei" serves crispy tarte flambée,
while the "Weinscheune" from Hüttersdorf presents a selection of exquisite wines. For those who prefer something more modern, "Tuni Snack" from Saarbrücken will be serving fresh burgers and wraps. The classic grilled sausage is also a must. The offer is rounded off by a selection of cocktails, cool beer and non-alcoholic drinks. From 15:00, the nationally renowned guitarist Eddie Gimler will provide the appropriate musical entertainment.
The organizers kindly ask visitors to stop bringing their own music from the start of the live performance in order to guarantee the concert experience for all guests. The Siersburg is not only a monument to high medieval architecture, but also offers one of the most spectacular views of the Saar and Nied valleys as far as the Lorraine hills.
Access/parking: Parking is available at the Siersburg sports ground (Am Hautzenbuckel). From there, a 15-minute walk leads up to the castle.
