Malen, abschalten, ausprobieren: MalMittwoch im Viertelladen

"Doing something with your hands for a change instead of scrolling after work—it feels really good." An evening where nothing has to be perfect—you paint without any prior experience and without any expectations of yourself.

After a short creativity exercise to settle in and relax, you’ll paint at your own pace. There’s no right or wrong here. The main thing is to have fun!

Sometimes we collaborate on a large mural (see cover photo): Everyone paints a section, and anyone who wants to can take their favorite piece home at the end. In the process, we draw inspiration from one another and try new things we might never have tried on our own.

Over time, your expression becomes freer and freer, and ideas for what to paint just come naturally. Not knowing what to paint or thinking of ourselves as uncreative are often reasons that keep us from painting. But there are many techniques that spark our creativity—and it’s definitely worth sticking with it!

And along the way, you’ll keep meeting new people. For some, Painting Wednesday is now firmly marked on their calendars: a midweek event they consciously set aside time for.
