In the organizer's words:
Margareta Lakner (24) was born in Hungary and attended a music high school in Szeged, Hungary, from 2014 to 2019. After graduating, she decided to study acoustic guitar at the Carl Maria von Weber University of Music. During her time as a guitarist, she has already won several awards, ranging from first prize at the International Guitar Competition in Romania at the age of 16 to the Audience Award at the 6th European Guitar Award Open in Dresden this year.
In 2024, she was awarded the Special Prize for Best Composition at the HANSE GUITAR CUP.
Since 2020, she has also been teaching guitar at several music schools in Dresden.
The “Neue Szene” series is a collaboration between Kapelle 6 and the “Gitarre Hamburg” initiative as part of the Hamburg Guitar Days
Starting in 2025, Kapelle 6 will host “Neue Szene,” featuring two annual concerts by up-and-coming professional guitarists.
Inspired by the Ohlsdorf 2050 project, a number of residents from the surrounding neighborhoods—with a wide variety of interests—have come together through various channels to form the Kapelle 6 working group.
This led to a collaboration with the Ohlsdorf Cemetery and the park management team to repurpose the chapel as a cultural workshop under the motto “Bringing more life to the days!”
