From Eastern Europe heißt das hochgelobte jüngste Album von Marie-Elisabeth Hecker und Martin Helmchen, auf dem sie unter anderem die Erste Cellosonate von Alfred Schnittke musizieren. Mit diesem Werk gibt das in der Nähe von Berlin beheimatete Duo nun seinen Einstand im Pierre Boulez Saal. Selten zu hörende Kompositionen von Beethoven und Schumann sowie Mendelssohns Zweite Cellosonate komplettieren das Programm.
