Based on the Low German "one guitar - one voice - a bunch of songs" solo program by drummer, singer, guitarist and songwriter Lars Köster, there will also be a band version in January 2021, parallel to the release of the first CD, with the following line-up
- Steff Ulrich: drums, vocals (Die Antwort, Velvetone, Dimple Minds)
- Andy Merck: bass, vocals (Rumble On The Beach, Velvetone, Dimple Minds)
- Lars Köster: vocals, guitar (Die Mimmi's, Velvetone)

The musical meal is hearty - hearty: Rock'n'Roll, Americana and Pub Rock between the Paladins, Bad Religion and Buddy Miller.
The band performs its own songs from various creative periods and selected cover versions.
And as if that wasn't enough, the whole thing is served with Low German lyrics!

KNIPP GUMBO already has a CD!
In addition to a few selected, beautiful cover versions, Knipp Gumbo mainly offers original compositions whose lyrics cover a wide range of topics and moods. Musically, there is a hot mixture of rock'n'roll and related styles with Low German (and two High German) lyrics
And where does this funny name come from?
Knipp is a Grützwurst related to Pinkel. It is a specialty in Bremen as well as in some regions of Lower Saxony.
Gumbo (pronounced: Gambo) is a spicy stew thickened with dark roux (roux) from US-American southern cuisine.
So: KNIPP for the North German soul and GUMBO for the musical influences from the South of the U.S.A.

All concerts are hat concerts, which means that YOU as a guest decide what amount you think is appropriate and put in the hat. There is no rule for this, you alone decide. A little tip: musicians create their works,
rehearse and come to us at the venue! Musicians love "spotlights" and any amount is welcome - just like you! We accept cash or EC cash!
