TILEEMA
A child of traveling hippies - Tileema was born on Crete, but not in Matala in a cave, but up on the mountain in an abandoned 5-house ruin. His middle name, which inspired his stage name, still reminds us of his early childhood on the Greek island. His first musical influences were the singer-songwriter and activist of the Greek democracy movement Nikos Xylouris and Irish folk music. An uncle, himself a professional musician and active in the German folk scene for decades, gave him a guitar around the age of nine. After a few lessons and his first largely self-taught attempts at playing the instrument, he took a long break from music.
Making music was intensively rediscovered during a longer stay in Berlin as part of a sound engineering internship and has been an indispensable companion ever since. He started writing his first songs as a teenager and has now written well over 300. Music production was added at the age of 20. Tileema produced twelve (?) of his own albums, initially under his real name, and published them on his website and the online music service mp3.de. His "Couch Music" format on YouTube, in which he films his own projects as well as other musicians in mini sessions on his studio couch, has achieved a certain cult status.
The IT graduate with his own specialist business invests as much time as possible in writing, arranging and producing music. It is not unusual for several band projects to exist side by side for years. Stylistically, they range from folk and chanson to pop and rock. The singer-songwriter has never wanted to be pigeonholed into one musical genre. His diverse songs are based on solid acoustic guitar arrangements and German lyrics. The existential and trivial themes of everyday life serve as inspiration. Moving love songs alternate with cabaret miniatures and political statements. Longer journeys in particular, most recently through Asia and South Africa, are a constant source of thoughtfulness and poetry. After a long period of rather reclusive musical activity, but nonetheless astonishing productivity, the singer now wants to introduce himself to a wider public. You can look forward to a surprising, authentic program that is sure to have one thing above all else: Groove!
All concerts are hat concerts, which means that YOU as a guest decide what amount you think is appropriate and put in the hat. There is no rule for this, you alone decide. A little tip: musicians create their works, rehearse and come to us at the venue! Musicians love "spotlights" and any amount is welcome - just like you! We accept cash or EC cash! The amount goes 100% to the musicians on the same evening.

And our credo is also very simple: less, but better. We want to consciously and passionately limit ourselves to one thing - real taste.
