Having long since outgrown neoclassical music, he has been turning toward electronic music for years. With one ear on the soundtrack, symphonic forms that are broken up by synthesis and held together by improvisation: Martin Kohlstedt ranks among the global vanguard of artists who manage to find a common form for influences from different worlds and shape them into a living entity—whether as a multidimensional film soundtrack, an immersive album experience, or a spectacular concert.

Aline Patschke has been studying percussion at the HMT Leipzig since 2020. She writes her own music and performs in various band and solo projects. The multi-instrumentalist works at the intersection of music, theater, and performance. Her openness to experimentation and transdisciplinary work make Aline Patschke not only one of the most exciting drummers of her generation, but also the ideal on-stage partner for Martin Kohlstedt’s modular improvisations.
