Formed in the spring of 2023, New York-based grunge-influenced shoegaze band Glimmer used their first two years to release several well-received singles. These received positive feedback from media outlets such as NPR, Stereogum, BrooklynVegan and CREEM Magazine, found their way onto official Spotify playlists and were accompanied by numerous live performances in the US and Europe. With their debut album Get Weak, the band now shows that they can not only write powerful and catchy songs, but also convince with quieter, atmospheric soundscapes.

The album, recorded in Brooklyn and mastered by Will Yip (known for his work with Turnstile and Superheaven), moves effortlessly between pop-oriented tracks like "Dissolve" and "Sorrow Again", energetic, distorted alternative rock songs like "Been Down" and dreamy, floating ballads like "Bloom.". It combines influences from grunge, shoegaze and dream pop, evokes memories of the 90s and at the same time feels contemporary and fresh.

Get Weak has received praise from numerous media outlets, including NPR, Stereogum, VICE, NME and The Line of Best Fit. In addition, several songs have been added to popular Spotify playlists such as Fresh Finds, All New Rock and New Noise.
