MARTIN SUTER: MELODY TOUR 2024 / Hamburg - St. Pauli Theater / Moderation: Bettina Rust

Martin Suter's new novel "Melody" went straight to number one on the "Spiegel" bestseller list after its publication at the end of March 2023 and remained there for three weeks. Due to compelling family reasons, the planned readings with moderation of the "MELODY TOUR 2023" unfortunately had to be postponed at short notice.

Since his first novel "Small World", which was published by his house publisher Diogenes in 1997, the Swiss author Martin Suter has regularly appeared on the bestseller lists and has inspired a huge fan base with his works. In August 2022, André Schäfer's feature film "All about Martin Suter. Except the Truth" premiered at the Locarno Film Festival. It was also shown in German cinemas in the fall.

The new "Spiegel" bestseller "Melody" is the story of a man who loses the love of his life and spends a lifetime searching for her. Former national councillor Dr. Stotz lives in a villa on the Zürichberg, surrounded by portraits of a young woman. Melody was once his fiancée, but shortly before their wedding - over 40 years ago - she disappeared. To this day, Dr. Stotz still can't get over it. Martin Suter gets to the bottom of the secrets and abysses behind Zurich's facades, the interplay between appearance and reality.
