Mateus Schneider Trio – Modern Jazz/ Latin

Brazilian jazz guitarist Mateus Schneider is delighted to present his debut album of original compositions: Migrações. The release concert in Leipzig, the city where he lives, marks the official release of the project and celebrates an artistic path between departure, crossing borders and returning to one's roots.

Migrações is the result of years of creative work and personal reflection. The compositions tell of deep emotions, formative experiences and inner movements. Musically, the trio moves between modern jazz and Brazilian influences - a sound language that is innovative, lyrical and touching at the same time. Live, an intimate atmosphere is created in which the energy and intensity of the moment can be felt immediately.

At his side are his long-standing trio partners Martin Surga on drums and Carl Wittig on double bass. Together they create an open, lively sound full of interaction, expressiveness and subtle nuances.

The album recording also follows this approach: deliberately minimalist and close to the live situation in order to capture the music honestly and unadulterated - just as it is created in the moment. Recording, mixing and mastering were carried out in the Kernstudio near Leipzig thanks to the indispensable work of sound engineer Marvin Müller.
