Mayflower Madame (NOR)

Over the past few years, Mayflower Madame has gained a reputation far beyond their hometown of Oslo, Norway.

They made their debut with the album *Observed in a Dream* in 2016, which received rave reviews and earned them tours across Europe and North America, while their long-awaited 2020-awaited follow-up, *Prepared for a Nightmare*, firmly established their position as one of the continent’s most distinctive bands in the psych-gaze genre, infused with 1980s post-punk and dark romanticism.

The COVID-19 pandemic struck hard just after the release of their second album, making the title eerily appropriate. However, in 2022, Mayflower Madame finally returned to touring in the UK, France, and Eastern Europe. The following year, the band focused on writing and recording new music while also releasing a deluxe version of *Prepared for a Nightmare* featuring five new bonus tracks. Their new album, *Insight*, was released on November 1, 2024, via Night Cult Records (digital), Up In Her Room (vinyl), and Icy Cold Records (CD).
Mayflower Madame consists of Trond Fagernes (vocals, guitar, bass) and Ola J. Kyrkjeeide (drums).
For live performances, the duo expands to a five-piece band.
