medizin meets musik
In the organizer's words:
Medicine Meets Music
WHEN SCIENCE MEETS SOUND
How does music influence our health—and how does illness shape music?
Experience an extraordinary evening where music and medicine
engage in a dialogue. Musicians from the Dortmund Philharmonic Chamber Ensemble will perform together. In conversation with the chief physicians of St. Johannes Hospital in Dortmund — Priv.-Doz. Dr. med. Ralf Georg Meyer, Priv.-Doz. Dr. med. Guido Dohmen, and Priv.-Doz. Dr. med. Jan Peter Thomas, as well as General Music Director Jordan de Souza — exciting insights into the interactions between music, the brain, the heart, and the soul will emerge. The evening will be moderated by music journalist Univ.-Prof. Dr. phil. Holger Noltze.
Look forward to fascinating medical insights, stimulating discussion, and live music—from Borodin and Beethoven to Apocalyptica.
