Meilenstein Strassenfest

The "Meilenstein Strassenfest" event is a unique open-air event dedicated to offering visitors to the city and Berliners themselves a special summer experience. It combines cultural diversity, culinary delights and the flair of the city of Berlin at central locations, the station forecourt Potsdamer Platz and Washingtonplatz Hbf.

Background story:
The name "milestone" is inspired by historical milestones that were to be found for thousands of years along roads, in particular chaussees, which were also called art roads. These stone distance markers were part of the basic equipment of travelers. They served as signposts and places of orientation and offered resting places and taverns where travelers could rest and recharge their batteries.
