And although nobody relies on literature anymore, Saša Stanišić chooses precisely this means. In his speeches, language functions as a tool, workspace, product - and above all as a playing field. Memories of Višegrad, experiences of migration and growing up between languages. Sometimes amusing, sometimes thought-provoking, often surprising. Saša Stanišić (*1978 in Višegrad) has lived in Germany since 1992. His works have been translated into more than forty languages and have received many awards. Saša Stanišić lives and works in Hamburg. He is a soccer coach for an F-youth team there.

The event takes place as part of the "Kultursommer Mittelhessen" in cooperation with the Institute of German Studies at Justus Liebig University Giessen in the auditorium of the main university building (Ludwigstr. 23, 35390 Giessen). Admission is €12, reduced & for LZG members €6. Access to the venue is wheelchair accessible.
