In ich zeichne meinen standort auf die haut, poet Jule Weber navigates through a noisy, chaotic world. In doing so, she finds words that give support and go straight to the heart. Her poems revolve around understanding and missing and our relationship to the world. In doing so, she reaches for the moments that shape us. Weber writes about questions that burn within us. She traces the paradox of social community and loneliness and makes it possible to grasp how world events seep unnoticed into our inner selves. Political and in love with language, stubborn, tender and feminist, this collection of poems unfolds a clear, sensitive language with a fine sense of humor. The words are so apt that it is not uncommon for a "That's exactly how it is" to slip over your lips as you read.

Jule Weber (*1993 in Bensheim) is a poet and podcaster. She has been performing on stage for 15 years, gives workshops and is part of the collective Verschwende deine Lyrik. In 2023, she was honored with the Kampf der Künste Award as Poet of the Year. She now lives in Bochum and is one of the leading voices in the German-speaking spoken word scene. She is also: pragmatic, in love with detail and chronically late.

The event takes place in cooperation with the Landgraf-Ludwigs-Gymnasium Gießen in the school library of the Landgraf-Ludwigs-Gymnasium (Reichenberger Str. 3, 35396 Gießen). Anette Hinkel will host the evening. Admission is €6, reduced €4 and free for LZG members. There is wheelchair access to the event.
