Angela Kennedy Lipsky's world collapses when her husband of many years, Max, leaves her for a much younger model and files for divorce. She has barely come to terms with the separation when their daughter moves out, leaving Angela alone in a large, empty house, surrounded by memories and her own overwhelming feelings. Only her faithful dog Axl hears her sighing and witnesses her emotional torment!

But Angela doesn't give up. She bravely fights her way through her new life and becomes the heroine of everyday madness: crazy dates, self-care approaches and the search for a fulfilling, financially stable job challenge Angela. Could her predisposition to manic hypochondria be the source of her surprising new happiness?

With a good dose of British humor, Angela takes the audience on her journey to self-determination, courage and joie de vivre. Sometimes bitingly satirical, sometimes touchingly honest, but always with a twinkle in her eye. Because that's how life works!
