Betânia Ramos Schröder’s writings have been created and published over the years in various places.

Like leaves in motion, they stand on their own while simultaneously forming part of a literary work in motion that continues to unfold with every publication, every translation, and every reading. Between water and crossings, memory and political history, a poetics unfolds that tells of grief and resistance, diaspora and belonging—and not only describes movement but remains in motion itself. Betânia Ramos Schröder and her guests invite the audience to become part of this ongoing literary journey of readings and text performances.

Betânia Ramos Schröder is an Afro-Brazilian writer, sociologist, and activist. She lives and works in Frankfurt am Main. Her literary work focuses on migration, exile, coloniality, and memory. Shaped by her experiences in psychiatry, she seeks new paths to healing through poetry.
