In the presence of director Heiko Arendt and Ruth Oswalt, niece of Ernst Ludwig Oswalt. Free admission.
Ernst Ludwig Oswalt (1922-1942) was a pupil at the Musterschule and head of youth work in the Protestant St. Peter's parish. Persecuted by the National Socialists as a Jew, he wrote a letter to his friends the day before his deportation: "A farewell to my friends". This is also the title of the 80-minute documentary by filmmaker Heiko Arendt, which traces the life of Ernst Ludwig Oswalt based on his letters to his brother Heinrich.
