TANDEM - the artistic exchange program at the Kulturort Depot!

The TANDEM exhibition series creates a stage for two artists to work together on a presentation of a wide variety of works. Students and young creatives at the beginning of their careers meet artists based at the Depot who have already established themselves with their work. They work, discuss and try things out together.
Jonathan Heitkämper and Christiane Heetmann are the sixth team to take part with their exhibition "Menschengemacht".

The artists began their project with a joint architectural search for traces in the former streetcar workshop in the north of Dortmund. This was followed by intensive exchange phases. The deep interest in human traces and forms of expression eventually crystallized as a common focus. While Christiane Heetmann processes human characteristics and their effects on various levels in two- and three-dimensional objects, Jonathan Heitkämper focuses on recording things and objects created by people with the help of a camera. Ultimately, both examine facets of the effects of human existence in their own way.
