Houses are places of everyday life, memory, and communal living. When they are lost, it is not only the buildings that disappear, but also social relationships and ways of life. Therefore, reconstruction is not only a structural task but also a social one.
Drawing on the work of CO-HATY and Kees Christiaanse on Ukraine, as well as Salma Samar Damluji on Yemen, the event explores how architecture can help shape future coexistence. A staged reading by Sasha Marianna Salzmann frames the evening. She explores the “in-between” as a space where different memories, affiliations, and life stories coexist without resolving their contradictions.
INTERLUDES
Musical-performative interventions with Immanuel Schumacher (concept and percussion), Karim Bingöl (percussion and voice), Paul Hübner (trumpet), Kioomars Musayyebi (santur), Nurit Stark (violin and viola)
