"habermas disco" is a choreographic jam session and plays with an incredible local co-incidence from Munich in the late seventies: Habermas is advancing critical social theory in Starnberg and researching his influential theory of communicative action, while Giorgio Moroder is working with Donna Summer on "I feel love" and the Sound of Munich in the Musicland Studios in Arabellapark.
The current disillusionment regarding many questions and problems meets songs from a time that was characterized by the belief in a social awakening,

in the possibility of fair and just coexistence. The disco as an egalitarian place of a burgeoning hedonism.
Today, we sit disillusioned in the ruins of that time of awakening.
The euphoria has faded, but the questions and the rhythm remain.

The audience is invited to follow the dancers to the places where they perform; there is no seating.
