Concentration on the essentials is Michael Breitschopf's trademark; there is no room for distraction from his artful melodies, deeply felt lyrics and top-class guitar playing in Breitschopf's studio productions and live performances.

This depth and seriousness, the desire for the beautiful without the nonsense, corresponds to the mentality that is often attributed to the people of his native Hohenlohe.

Born in November '96 and raised in Niedernhall, he remains loyal to his Hohenlohe homeland to this day. After the almost obligatory recorder lessons for musicians at the age of 6-9, it was time for the great passion, the true love of his life: under the guidance of his guitar teacher and later duo partner Wolfgang Gutscher, Breitschopf's journey into the world of riffs, runs, melodies and chords began.

At the age of 14, it was clear: this boy belonged on stage! Encouraged by his first concert successes, Breitschopf founded the "Duo Tirando" with Wolfgang Gutscher in 2014, and their CD "Acoustic Guitars for Real" was released in 2016.

Parallel to this project, Michael Breitschopf has been playing regularly with the band "Gonzo & Friends" since 2014, which has been performing as "Gonzo`s Friends" since the death of its frontman Josip "Gonzo" Krolo. As a member of "Gonzo`s Friends", Breitschopf has shared the stage time and again with top-class artists such as Lisa Bund, Rolf Stahlhofen, David Hanselmann and Sydney Youngblood.

In 2017, Michael Breitschopf won a national prize at "Jugend musiziert" in the guitar/pop category.

In 2018, the "Gonzo's Friends" CD "A Last Farewell", which Michael Breitschopf played a major role in creating, was released.

In 2019, "Gonzo's Friends" performed again at the nationally renowned "Haigern-Live!" festival as the headliner on Sunday evening. The concert was recorded with sound and vision. Breitschopf was the producer of the subsequent live album. In the same year, Michael Breitschopf released two more singles, "Schön dass es Dich gibt" and "Zufälle geschehen".

In 2020, the single "Halt' durch" was released during the first months of the pandemic, which ostensibly deals with the pandemic, but at the same time takes a hopeful look into the future. At the end of 2020, Michael Breitschopf released a Christmas album together with Sparkasse Hohenlohekreis. The proceeds from the sale of the album - €5,000 - were donated to the Albert Schweizer Children's Village in Waldenburg. Breitschopf also released his own Christmas song, "Es ist Weihnacht", as a single.

The "Duo Tirando" also produced a live album from a concert in the Philosophenkeller in 2019. In addition to the live tracks, the album includes a new instrumental track "Nerja" and the Sting classic "Shape of my heart" as studio versions.

Since 2018, Michael Breitschopf has released 6 singles under his own name, torn down many kilometers on the highway as a solo artist, with the "Duo Tirando" or as a member of "Gonzo`s Friends" and got to know many facets of life as a guitarist, enough material for his next songs!
