The cult format goes through highs and lows with its audience. Even before the corona break, they were cult. After the two lockdowns, in which they entertained and distracted us with their ROCKT zu HAUSE concerts from the empty Capitol, they are known throughout Germany (and beyond to Siberia). You can see them live again this fall! The series has been held in the Capitol Mannheim casino for over 10 years now. At the concerts, where Sascha Kleinophorst, Sascha Krebs, Frank Schäffer and Christof Brill invite a musical guest once a month, great interpretations of well-known songs meet humor that is second to none. The fantastic four will continue to welcome guests regularly in late 2024.

October's guest: Georg Veit (originally Sofia Stark)
Even while studying literature, Georg Veit was particularly interested in the different ways in which literature and texts can be communicated - whether in the theater, as a reading, in combination with music and images. As an author, actor and director, he is now fully dedicated to the theater and can be seen in numerous productions on the independent scene in Karlsruhe, Heidelberg and Mannheim. Georg Veit has been the artistic director of Capitol Mannheim since 1998. He has succeeded in developing new forms of expression in musicals and musical theater with an ensemble from all areas of musical theater. "Der kleine Horrorladen", "Cabaret" and "Hair" are the classic stages, "The Wolf with the Red Roses" and "Heldenzeit" the examination of contemporary pop music and "Marilyn - The Last Sitting" as well as "Karl Drais - die treibende Kraft", "Blume Peter" and "Ein Lied kann eine Brücke sein" his own plays. He worked on the various Mannheim-related pieces with Michael Herberger, co-founder of Söhne Mannheim and graduate of the Popakademie. In this way, he always succeeds in bringing together a wide variety of influences in one project. Cross-over concerts with the Deutsche Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland Pfalz and conductor Ernst Theis are also regularly created in this way. Sporadic appearances with Live-Lyrix turned into regular visits to "Sascha im Quadrat" during the pandemic live streams "RocktzuHause". So it's only logical to organize an entire evening together.

Who are the Saschas?
Sascha Kleinophorst has been on the road with many rock bands, including appearances as frontman of the Brass Machine all over Germany and several times at the legendary jazz festival in Montreux. Like his partner in crime Sascha Krebs, he is also a long-standing member of the Capitol Ensemble with a large fan base. The fact that "little Sascha", as Sascha Krebs is also affectionately known, rocks just as much in an intimate setting as he does on the big stages with his band "The Queen Kings" is part of the success of Sascha im Quadrat. We at Capitol love our boys!
