Michael Lentz has edited issue 2025/4 of the journal Neue Rundschau. The issue deals with the subject of poetry and is dedicated in particular to the 150th birthday of Rainer Maria Rilke. It is a journey around the world of poetry. When writing poetry, according to Paul Valéry, everything has to pass through a sieve, is weighed, purified, shaped and condensed as much as possible. In this issue, Michael Lentz sets out in search of lasting poems that have been brought into shape, and reflects on the poetry of Rainer Maria Rilke. The booklet is about poetry and thought, form and process, language and world, sound and image.

Michael Lentz, born in Düren in 1964, lives in Berlin and Leipzig. He is an author, musician and publisher. Michael Lentz has received numerous awards, including the Ingeborg Bachmann Prize and the Walter Hasenclever Literature Prize. Michael Lentz received the Bettina Brentano Prize for Contemporary Poetry 2024 for Chora and his complete works.
