Michel Schröder Ensemble

The Michel Schroeder Ensemble is a large ensemble founded in 2018 that brings together musicians from a wide variety of styles. With this ensemble consisting of four string players, eight wind players, harp and a four-piece rhythm section, the bandleader fulfills his dream of writing for a line-up that knows no tonal boundaries. Be it romantic melodies, wild grooves or traditional swing, there is something for every listener. You can expect sounds that sometimes sound like the Pat Metheny Group, sometimes like the Gil Evans Orchestra, then again like Michael Brecker, but are none of these things, but rather the young trumpeter and composer's very own language.
