Mietendemo München

In the organizer's words:

On February 7, 2026 at 2 p.m., the big rent demo will start at Odeonsplatz in Munich under the motto "Uns glangt's! Rents down. City for all. Now!".
In addition to strong political speeches, there will be a varied musical program with performances by Wellbappn, LENILICIOUZ, Maxi Pongratz and other bands and artists. The event will be hosted by Roger Rekless.
The event is directed against rising rents, displacement and real estate speculation and is committed to affordable housing for all.
Numerous initiatives, associations and civil society groups are supporting the protest and creating a space for exchange and engagement.
With music, speeches and a joint presence, the aim is to send a clear signal that housing is a basic right and must not become a commodity.
