Minigolf Meets Music: Bea Bacher Feierabendkonzert & Minigolf

Mini-golf, a great view, and live music? We thought that was a fantastic combination! This summer, we’re once again thrilled to be partnering with Pop-Büro Region Stuttgart and the mini-golf club at Uhlandshöhe. At “Minigolf Meets Music,” every Friday evening from July 31 through September 4, you’ll find great live music and what might just be the most laid-back stage in town. Admission to the mini-golf course also serves as admission to the concerts.

Flusspferdhofsiedlung. Just how beautiful is that word, really? So beautiful that you’ll never want to say another word again, says Bea Bacher. If she were on a deserted island, she’d want to take that word with her. In her new album, however, Bea doesn’t just like to repeat the word “Flusspferdhofsiedlung”—she also repeats entire sentences like: “I absolutely must not die today.” Because when you’re looking forward to the next day so much, you really should make an effort not to accidentally die before then! “Flusspferdhofsiedlung” is an album about the lightness and heaviness of being. Just as a hippopotamus is nearly weightless in the water, her subversive lyrics sometimes seem heavy, almost threatening, yet at the same time possess enormous poetic power and lightness of touch. It’s a contemporary album full of environmental utopian ideals; it doesn’t shout them out in a simplistic way, but it says what needs to be said. “I see how it’s closing in, and an awkward silence hangs so heavily over me in leaden clouds, and because I sense that the consequences of inaction are deadly serious, I set out into the night before I give in.”
