Mirjana at Betty's Black Pearl - great emotions, subtle humor, real attitude

Mirjana is the best proof that depth and a wink are not mutually exclusive. As a German-language singer-songwriter from Bremen, she brings songs to the stage at Betty's Black Pearl that are honest without being heavy and touching without triggering pathos alarms. Her pop songs go straight to the ear - but demonstratively remain in the heart and order another coffee there.

From an early age, the piano was her most loyal ally, later joined by singing, poetry and diaries - as safe havens in a life that did not always fit into prefabricated pigeonholes. Psychological challenges, the feeling of being different and the realization of being a cuckoo's child have left cracks. Mirjana doesn't turn this into a tragedy, but music with attitude: vulnerable, strong and always authentic.

She is accompanied on stage by a great multi-instrumentalist who knows exactly when restraint shines and when power is needed on piano, acoustic and electric guitar. Together they create concerts that range from quiet goosebump moments to rousing anthems.

In short: an evening that will make you smile, make you gulp for a moment - and send you home a little more honest at the end.
