Mit aller Kraft liegen lassen
In the organizer's words:
Germany has to do something! Health insurance premiums are rising, and so is the national debt. And on top of that, we’re supposed to work longer—beyond age 67 and past 6 p.m., too. It’s been the same old mantra for years—only the terms have changed: We used to get cozy in the social hammock; today, we’re chilling in the “lifestyle part-time” scene.
But our government tends to operate by the motto: “If you can get it done today, feel free to put it off until tomorrow.” With the mantra “Do as little as possible,” we’re also approaching the “autumn of reforms.” It’s definitely coming! Just shortly after Stuttgart 21.
Speaking of which! Germany is one big construction site. Roads, bridges, railroad tracks—everything needs to be renovated… the welfare state just as much as the Bundeswehr. Our bridges are crumbling… but then again, they surely picked that up from NATO and our beloved democracy—nobody there knows how much longer they’ll last either. And because the current coalition is, of course, even more divided than the Pocher family, “getting things done” keeps getting put off.
“Mit aller Kraft liegen lassen” is a hilarious take on Germany as a perpetual construction site. Packed with punchlines, varied, and unashamedly unfair. 100 minutes of cabaret somewhere between the war axe and the meat cleaver, with gags straight from the source and jokes raised free-range.
