Mittelstraße - the improvised soap opera from the heart of Mannheim
With their completely improvised soap opera Mittelstraße, the team from Improtheater Mannheim once again presents a somewhat different improv format. True to the motto "What will happen?", a genuine soap is created before the eyes and with the help of the audience - with everything that goes with it: drama, romance, humor and love. Just as if you were zapping through Unter uns, Verbotene Liebe or Gute Zeiten, Schlechte Zeiten on TV.
What happened to Gloria's husband? Who are Yuri's mysterious friends? And who is actually taking over the kiosk on the corner? The ensemble of established actors from the Rhine-Neckar region plays with typical soap clichés with plenty of humor and charm. Authentic, uninhibited and usually with a wink. And best of all: the improvised soap opera tells a continuous story from the very first performance. But don't worry, thanks to the obligatory review at the beginning of each episode, you never lose track of what has already happened.
