Mixing & Tontechnik - kostenloser Workshop

Do you like music and enjoy going to live concerts? Are you interested in sound engineering? Then you've come to the right place!

In our one-day workshop, we want to go through the basic know-how for stage set-up, microphones and mixing with you. The aim is that after the workshop you will have a plan of which cable and microphone belongs where and how a mixing console works.

The workshop is divided into two parts. In the first part we will focus on the stage. In the second part, we'll get behind the mixing desk. So that you can test your skills directly, you will be accompanied during the workshop by a band that you will be mixing: GMBA from Bonn.

The workshop is aimed at participants aged between 14 and 27. It is organized by Der Musikstation in cooperation with the Alte VHS Bonn and FemSound.

FemSound is a feminist sound collective. We build and manage a mobile, battery-powered sound system in Bonn. We also mix concerts and other "loud" events in Bonn and the surrounding area. With (Instagram) skillshares and workshops, we want to share the knowledge we have acquired over the last few years with others.

GMBA came together at the end of 2022. Initially, Philipp (guitar) & Tibor (drums) rehearsed in pairs in Cologne Mühlheim until Stef joined on bass in October 2023. Anneli recently joined the band as a singer. Now as a foursome, they continue with their political, German-language punk to denounce grievances in society and the world as well as their own scene and at the same time encourage people to dance.
