MODESTEP

Modestep is the brainchild of London-based musician Josh Friend, who now leads the project solo with his brand-new live band. Known for fusing rock and dubstep, Modestep rose to fame with the 2011 hit “Sunlight” and has since performed at iconic festivals such as Glastonbury, Coachella, and Woodstock Poland, drawing a record-breaking crowd of 750,000. With a new album set to be released in September 2025, Friend describes the sound as “darker and melodic,” a nod to the project’s roots with deep, wobbly basslines and strong vocal melodies. Modestep continues to evolve while staying true to the energy that first defined them.
